When Ash Arrived

Here is Pumpkin's view of when our cat Ash arrived.

Another Cat? Why would my humans want another cat? I stared at the grey kitten with green eyes and big paws. He seemed very scary. I ran and hid behind one of my human's legs, feeling rejected. Well, if there was another cat, I would still have to be the boss. I had already been here ten days! Wasn't this MY house?

One of my humans took both of us and shut us up in the bathroom so we could *get to know each other. I hid behind her legs.

"No Pumpkin." She said sternly, taking me from behind her and setting her in front of him again.

Later we had a huge fight, with a lot of scratching and mewing. I won, and am now boss. I will always rule my friend and my humans.
