A Book Has Been Finished...

Hey Inkwells! I have some exciting news. I have finished a full-length book called 'In the Study of Mr. Fredrick Allison.'

I'm pretty excited to share this with you. I've included the description of it, hoping to perhaps stoke your interest. I hope that you're having a good weekend!

-E. G. Runyan

“Thank you!” The man smiled, and Ian couldn’t help smiling back. Then, as Ian was about to turn and leave, the man took a pocket watch out of his pocket and glanced at it. “My! It’s four o’clock already. Would you mind terribly if I asked you to stay for tea?”

Ian is an orphan who lives on the streets of London. He steals to eat, although he isn’t fond of it, and sleeps on rooftops curled up against the chimneys to stay warm. It’s not an easy or fun life for Ian. One morning he attempts to steal a loaf of bread, but when the owner of the bread discovers him in the act, he does not yell, grow angry, or call the police. Instead, he asks Ian to stay for tea. And that’s when everything changes.

An angry nephew, a shy girl who can’t speak English, and a man named Mr. Frederick Allison who’s cheerful even in the mornings turn the young thief’s life inside out with excitement, love, pain and friendships that he never could have imagined he would have. They unwittingly teach a lonely broken heart what it means to love again.

And…sometimes…the pain of love does more good than the joy of love ever could.
