The Thing About Art

I love writing. It’s my thing. My hobby. You could say it is kind of my occupation. The thing about writing though, is that it gets lonely. You do it alone, and all by yourself. You pain over a particular paragraph again. And again. And again, because the words just aren’t saying what you want them to say. You come to the miserable conclusion that for the sake of the story, one of your favorite characters has to die. You feel the excitement of completing your first chapter. Yeah, writing is great, but it’s lonely. You do it all without another human being with you. That’s why we need to have community, and reader, that’s what the Inkwells are here for!

Art in general can be lonely. You draw by yourself. You write by yourself. You animate by yourself. You always have God with you, but God wants you to have other people as well. He saw that Adam needed Eve. As artists, we need each other.

That’s why the Inkwells are here. We’re all artists, with different passions, and all different art forms. We’re here because sometimes being an artist gets lonely.
