The BEST Amazon Purchase EVER!

Paperweight Kindles aren't really popular anymore, because of course, you can't text your friends on them, it doesn't play music, and it can't have Fortnite downloaded onto it. People really don't use Kindles to read much anymore, which was what Kindles were originally made for.

Like me though, you might have been in the case that you really want to read a certain book, but your parents won't let you have devices in your bedroom or use devices even for reading. That's where a paperweight Kindle can be extremely handy.

My Mother got this Paperweight Kindle for my Dad off Amazon 10 years ago, and it's still in PERFECT working condition! It's had water spilled on it, been dropped on the concrete, food all over it, and survived the spills and clumsy happenings of several children.

This Kindle can also have Parental Controls activated, which means that there will be restrictions to the Kindle Store, Web Browser, and Cloud, which makes it safe for kid's to use in their bedrooms.

You can download documents you've written, and add a passcode if you don't want anybody to be able to access your documents or get into the Kindle.

The screen is also not lighted, and if your Kindle is registered the Libby app can have e-books download onto your Kindle for the length of time the book would normally be borrowed on a phone.

This is the best device I've ever used, and now, Paperweight Kindles can be a couple hundred dollars, and I don't think they even make this version of the Kindle anymore, but I am sure you could find it somewhere second hand.

One thing that Amazon added that I did not like was adds on the cover of the Kindle. Most of the books were stories written so badly they were less than a dollar to buy permanently. Some of the add's weren't appropriate, so my family had to buy a blank screen, and now the only covers when my Kindle is off are Pencils, old typewriter keys, etc, etc.

I would definitely look for this Kindle second hand. It's an awesome product.
