Book of the Week! Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Updated: Jul 4, 2021

Today's book of the week: 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' By J. K. Rowling

'It does not do to dwell on dreams and not to live.'

-J. K. Rowling

The first book in one of my favorite series, J. K. Rowling introduces the reader to the well-loved world of Harry Potter.

Harry Potter lives with Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and their son, Dudley Dursley. He has no friends, no family besides his aunt and uncle, and his bedroom is a cupboard under the stairs. It's almost his 11th birthday, and Harry expects no presents and no celebration. He has nothing to look forward to; Until a mysterious letter appears with the post one morning at breakfast, and then Harry's life changes completely.

The age level I would advise is probably 11 and up. And no matter how old you get, this ageless story will never cease to brighten up a rainy day.
