The Donut Project

I started out with the basic shapes, and made a relatively close donut shape.

After creating the basic shape, I made some imperfections, to make the donut feel more realistic.

After I made the model, I started testing with the rendering (Generating a photorealistic Image/Video)

After the Render Testing, I spent about an hour figuring out how light works. After that, I had to tell the computer how much light enters the donut or bounces off of the donut.

Next, I had to create a texture for the donut, so the donut would look closer to being freshly baked. Here is the texture image:

And finally, I had to translate the 2D texture image into a 3D texture, to create a imperfect effect. The downside of me doing this is that my computer was being annoying, and decided to make a crunchy looking donut.

In conclusion, this process probably took at least 4 hours, so if you are ever wanting to try to do this, I suggest doing it on a weekend or something!
