Don't Do Drugs Poem by C. K. Holmstrom

All the things you love disappear in a cloud of smoke as you start to cough and choke. Depression comes like a stormy sea, you fall on your hands and knees. You are stuck on a spider web made of drugs, struggling to get free as you pull and tug. You hear a noise, then tremble in fear as the monster of drugs starts to appear. It's eyes are bright as a cigarette burning. It's covered in head to toe with pills, your stomach starts churning. Charters of class from all that alcohol you drank, the weight on your shoulders as heavy as a tank. Suddenly you cry, "Oh what have I done! I have made a mistake! Oh drug monster, I need another take!" Then suddenly everything around you disappears and as you fall into the world everything becomes clear. You're happy again at last and you encourage others that if you don't do drugs then your life can be a BLAST!
